Frequently Asked Questions

A virtual private server (VPS) is created through the process of virtualization, by which a virtual replica of a physical server is created. A VPS is like having access to your own personal server with an allocated number of resources and choice of a pre-installed operating system. It is an isolated microsystem based on a shared server. Since a VPS is self contained, you have full control of your server setup and are responsible for all updates and security. You can also choose to opt for our managed service.

You can connect to your VPS through SSH and PuTTY or Remote Desktop.

Step 1: In Control Panel create new user account ( set this user : Administrator access )
Step 2: Login your VPS on desktop by new User you just created

Click Start button and search "Remote Desktop Connection" and press Enter, fill 127.0.0.1 and username and password of current User ( User when you order from VPS supplier ) and click Connect . Done!

Unfortunately, email spammers and scammers often abuse cloud hosting providers. At PreVPS, we take this issue seriously and block ports 25 and 465 by default on all cloud servers to prevent abuse. This is a common practice in the cloud hosting industry. However, we understand that legitimate use cases exist, and we are happy to work with our customers to find a solution. After you have been with us for at least one month and paid your first invoice, you can submit a limit request to unblock these ports for a valid use case. Please provide details about your use case in your request, and we will make a decision on a case-by-case basis.

Alternatively, you can use port 587 to send emails via external mail delivery services. This port is not blocked and can be used without submitting a limit request.
