Is your Windows Server stuck speaking English? Don't worry, it's easy to teach it new languages! This guide walks you through adding and changing the display language in both Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
Here's how:
- Connect: Use Remote Desktop to access your server and log in as an administrator.
- Settings: Click on "Start," then "Settings."
- Time & Language: Find and select "Time & Language."

- Language Settings: In the left sidebar, click on "Language."
- Add Language: Click the "Add a language" button.

- Choose Your Language: Type the language you want in the "Choose a language to install" field, then select it.
- Next: Click "Next."

- Set as Display Language (2022 Only): If you're on Windows Server 2022, check the "Set as my Windows display language" box. Skip this step for 2019.
- Install: Click "Install."

That's it! Your chosen language is now installed. It will appear in the language list, and will be automatically used as the display language the next time you log in.
